Introduction to MD Dogs Diabetic Alert Dogs
How our DADs are trained, raised, and transitioned to their new type 1 diabetic handler.
This course is designed to communicate to applicants of an MD Dogs Diabetic Alert Dog the training process for Diabetic Alert Dogs, as well as convey the dogs' capabilities and the process of receiving a Diabetic Alert Dog. This course is required for all MD Dogs applicants. It can be completed at the individual's pace.

Libby Rockaway is the founder and trainer for MD Dogs Inc, providing Diabetic Alert Dogs to clients with type 1 diabetes as well as creating and publishing resources for individuals to train their own. She is a member of the IACP, APDT, and has attended APDT conferences, PennVet Working Dog conferences, and workshops.
